Have you found yourself standing in line to get into the grocery or hardware store, toes behind the six foot marker on the sidewalk, then turning to the nearest stranger for a conversation about... whatever? Oh how I miss random interactions. I never knew strangers were such an important part of my life. They make me feel like I belong to a larger community and offer the possibility of learning some new random tidbit. An easy conversation starters is "where did you get your mask? I love the color." Or the weather or, you know, anything. Someday we will be able to have meaningless conversations again -and it turns out they are quite meaningful. sigh.
